    Russia faces this problem too, albeit to a lesser extent: the birth rate per woman is 1.826, while it has to be above 2.0 for the population to grow.


    The good news for Russia is that this indicator is rising steadily thanks to state policies prioritizing demographics and supporting traditional values. These policies include social assistance for families with children, free education, high-quality medical care, a free IVF program, housing programs with preferential terms for young families, and partial housing cost compensation for large families with three or more children.
