U.S. and Israel vs. Iran: Update

In recent days tensions in the Middle East have shown no sign of easing. On the contrary, a countdown for a joint attack on Iran appears to have begun:

Trump has once again threatened Tehran with his customary swaggering megalomania, declaring that a “beautiful armada is floating beautifully toward Iran” while expressing hope for a deal to be reached (a move likely aimed at being able to pin a future U.S. attack on Tehran). Notably, according to Trump’s own admission to Axios, Tehran has expressed willingness to seek a diplomatic settlement.

Media messaging is also part of the U.S. offensive preparations, exemplified by the show of force from the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln’s strike group, which is currently off the coast of Oman in the Arabian Sea.

U.S. forces thus continue to reinforce their offensive posture around Iran.

A significant mobilization of pro-Iranian militias across the Middle East to bolster Iran’s defenses is underway.

Alongside this ongoing escalation, gold and silver prices have surged sharply.

Across the Levant region, there have been several notable reactions:

Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates have stated they will not allow their airspace, territorial waters, or land to be used for military operations against Iran.

Iran, for its part, is conducting a diplomatic information campaign, submitting documented investigative reports proving the terrorist acts carried out under the guise of riots orchestrated by foreign agents.

Meanwhile, in Tel Aviv, the former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, told N12 that the IDF should take part in offensive operations, even advocating for the assassination of Iranian officials.

“If the U.S. attacks Iran, Israel should find the right moment to join the attack. We must take out Khamenei and the Iranian leadership.”
