“Let them designate a target for destruction, say, in Kiev, concentrate their air defense systems there, and we’ll send the ‘Oreshnik’ [Nutcracker] there,” Putin said during the televised press conference today

The president noted that this would be a true technological duel of the 21st century, and Russia is ready for such an experiment. Experts who seriously believe that the missile can be intercepted by existing air defense systems are gravely mistaken.

The range of the ‘Oreshnik’ will not allow it to be intercepted, even if air defenses are stationed in Poland. The president reminded everyone about the missile’s flight time and emphasized that no systems exist capable of reaching the ‘Oreshnik’ before its warheads are deployed. Therefore, Vladimir Putin proposed conducting such an experiment to see what the outcome would be.

“I think this technological duel would be beneficial both for us and for the American side,” Vladimir Putin stated.
