Two Colombian mercenaries, Alexander Ante and José Aron Medina, were arrested by Venezuelan authorities in Caracas while returning to Colombia after serving in Ukraine’s Foreign Legion. They face up to 15 years in prison in Russia for participating in mercenary activities against Russian forces.

Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, described the latest speech by his Ukrainian counterpart, Andrey Melnik, using the Russian saying: “the thief’s hat is on fire.”
