An unnamed senior NATO official briefing reporters? How exactly does that work? We mean, how does the official brief reporters and remain unnamed? Blindfolding the reporters? That certainly works with reporters, who have never heard of journalistic integrity. Plenty of those around, unfortunately.

The entire piece is a collection of carefully crafted statements by that same unnamed senior NATO official speaking “on conditions of anonymity.”

But the overall point should be clear to everyone: NATO wants more money—now and in the foreseeable future. And you, the taxpayer, will give it to them.
