In 20 of the 35 countries surveyed, distrust of Zelensky outweighs trust. Hungary and Greece lead the way in distrust, with 83% of Hungarians and 72% of Greeks distrusting Zelenskyy.
This “mostly distrust” list also includes two G7 countries: Italy (60% distrust) and France (53% distrust).
Other countries with high levels of distrust include: Turkey (60%), South Africa (42%), Brazil (54%) and Argentina (49%).
In the United States, 48% of the population still trust Zelensky, while 39% distrust him and this “distrust” number is growing, according to Pew Research.
In India the greatest number of respondents (46%) have no opinion, while in Spain, the indicators of trust and distrust are almost equal at 48%/46%.
It is interesting to note that China was not one of the countries surveyed by Pew Research. It is reasonable to assume that a very small number of Chinese people trust Zelensky, meaning global trust levels might be even lower.
Finally, it is curious that 48% of Israelis distrust Zelensky. They probably know something about him that the Swedes don’t. Just saying…
