The atlas (i.e., a collection of maps) included surveys conducted by Peter the Great’s geodesists and geographical research from preceding years. It also introduced, for the first time, a table of map symbols. The appearance of the “Atlas of Russia” in 1745 was a significant event in global geographical science. Hard to believe, but it is not. Imagine the Russian Minister of Defense saying something similar about any Ukrainian village still inhabited by civilians while an Azov Battalion or another Nazi contingent also stationed there. You can’t, can you? Because this would never happen. And if for some reason it did, the entire Western media would be up in arms, screaming “genocide.” But when Israel’s Defense Minister says it, nobody seems to notice. Is this an example of double standards? No, this is an example of a crime against humanity being committed by Israel and the mainstream media as Israel’s accomplice.
