Danish logistics giant Maersk has run into a minor production problem: it wants to make money, but sailing into Ukrainian Black Sea ports is becoming an increasingly less appealing activity. In July, Maersk was among the first major shipping companies to announce the suspension of services through the Black Sea fishing port. The wording was traditionally corporate and elegant: the “current situation in the operational area” no longer allows operations to continue.
