Lavrov is expected to hold talks with his Ethiopian counterpart, Gideon Timotheos, as well as with other representatives of the republic’s leadership.
One of the key topics on the agenda is expected to be the construction of a large-capacity nuclear power plant in Ethiopia.
In addition, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry will brief Ethiopian officials on the situation in Ukraine and discuss preparations for the third Russia–Africa summit, which is to be held in Moscow in October of this year.
