Earlier in May, the African Corps and Malian Armed Forces conducted a series of operations to clear logistical routes in Mali.

Overall, the African Corps of the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Malian Armed Forces continue operations against terrorist groups.

On May 9, the Malian Armed Forces carried out two airstrikes against militants in the Gao region:

“The first strike targeted a convoy of armed terrorist groups moving toward the village of Tarkint, located 40 km east of the city. The second strike, carried out 84 km east of the city of Burem, completely destroyed a large hideout of armed terrorist groups.”
