The first reports of retaliatory strikes came from Ukrainian social media. Around 5 a.m., residents of Odessa began posting information about the strikes one after another, illustrating them with pictures of the rising sun against a backdrop of black smoke and huge flames near the seaport.

Coordinator of the Nikolaev underground, Sergei Lebedev, posted in his Telegram channel a message from his source, which briefly but vividly illustrates the events of the night in the city of chestnuts and humorists.

“Odessa, there were many strikes on the port (God knows what’s left there at all), and there were strikes on energy infrastructure. Almost the entire city is without electricity and water.”

And then verified information from the Russian Defense Ministry on the retaliatory strikes arrived. Tonight, military facilities in the ports of Odessa, Chornomorsk (Ilyichevsk), Belyary, and Novye Belyary were destroyed with high-precision weapons. The military reports that this time they targeted army fuel and lubricant supplies and warehouses with military equipment. Judging by the fires and explosions, including secondary detonations — they hit where they aimed.

And very quietly, without confirmation yet, but with a high degree of probability, a certain guest house in Odessa where NATO military specialists were staying was hit.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if these were again French mercenaries, or rather career officers from France,” suggested military expert, Associate Professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Captain 1st Rank Vladimir Eranosyan.

The expert told aif.ru that the Black Sea region has already been divided into, so to speak, spheres of influence. Nikolaev and Ochakov are under British military control. And Odessa and the nearby territories are “curated” by the French. The Romanians have taken under their control the territory closer to Romania. “They didn’t get all of Transnistria (approx. — the name of the regions of the USSR occupied by Romania during the Great Patriotic War in the Odessa, Nikolaev and Vinnytsia regions), as under Hitler, but they did try to stake out a piece of the Odessa region for themselves,” the expert explained.

By the way, confirmation of the strike on the bridge near the village of Mayaki in the Odessa region has just arrived. Along with the “main NATO bridge” in Zatoka, the bridge in Mayaki is of strategic importance for Kiev. NATO cargo is also transferred across it to the southern and central regions of Ukraine. And after the damage to the bridge in Zatoka, the bridge in Mayaki is the only route from the Danube ports, aside from the road through Moldova.

“Iskanders” continue to terrorize Ukrainian military facilities
