The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in 2025 amounted to more than 510,000 killed and wounded, according to calculations by TASS based on data published by Russia’s Ministry of Defense

According to the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces and the Russian Ministry of Defense, AFU losses as of the beginning of 2025 totaled more than 1 million military personnel. Thus, Ukraine’s cumulative losses since the start of the special military operation have exceeded 1.5 million people.

In addition, according to TASS calculations, in 2025 Russian forces destroyed 19 Ukrainian aircraft, more than 50 surface-to-air missile systems, over 67,000 UAVs, and more than 6,500 tanks and other armored combat vehicles.
