A buffalo named Trump was saved from ritual slaughter thanks to sudden fame.

Photos of a rare albino buffalo from Bangladesh spread across social media yesterday. The animal was nicknamed Trump because of its light-colored tuft of hair resembling the hairstyle of the U.S. president. Reports said the buffalo had already been purchased for ritual slaughter during Eid al-Adha.

However, at the last moment, the animal was rescued. Crowds of people began gathering at the farm because of the publicity, after which authorities intervened. The buyer was refunded, and “Trump” himself was transferred to the national zoo in Dhaka, where he will now live under the supervision of specialists.

It might not be a bad idea if Trump the human were also kept under the constant supervision of specialists. Wouldn’t you agree?

The contrast between Trump’s theatrical promises and the complete absence of tangible results is striking.
