He called on the southern neighbors to “take the right side” and “not to give in to the false promises of devils.”
Khamenei warned that Iran “will not leave the United States and Israel alone” after their attack on the country and will demand reparations for all the damage caused. He also said that Tehran will “certainly” move to a “new stage of managing the Strait of Hormuz.” The Iranian side has, in particular, considered the idea of an agreement on control of the strait with countries that use this route.
“We did not seek and do not seek war, but under no circumstances will we abandon our legitimate rights, acting in unity with the entire ‘Axis of Resistance,’” the Supreme Leader emphasized.
Khamenei described the “heroic people of Iran” as the “undisputed victors on this battlefield.”
Mojtaba Khamenei was elected Iran’s Supreme Leader in March following the killing of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, by the United States and Israel.
