The Supreme Court of Ukraine confirmed the decision recognizing the de facto marital relationship between Zoryan Kys, who happens to be the First Secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine in Israel, and his husband, Timur Levchuk. It is noteworthy that the Constitution of Ukraine (Article 51) defines marriage as a union between a man and a woman, which effectively prohibits same-sex marriage.
But who cares about the Constitution if pleasing the EU is the priority?
And who cares about the people, who overwhelmingly oppose same-sex marriage?
