Most of Kiev is in darkness

The blackout is affecting the operations of a number of enterprises in the Ukrainian capital, including those working for the Ukrainian defense industry.

This week, the Russian army struck energy facilities in the Kiev, Zhitomir, Chernigov, Sumy, and Odessa regions. Some areas in these regions are also without electricity, which in turn is affecting the operation of traction power substations. This, in turn, is impeding railway traffic for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
