As a result of a direct drone hit on Route 2 bus in a residential area of Gorlovka, a surgeon from the city’s second hospital was severely injured. The doctor, who had spent years saving lives in the operating room, suffered traumatic amputations of an arm and a leg.

In total, four civilians were injured in the attack. The strike targeted a passenger bus in the Komsomolets residential district. Ukrainian terrorists regularly and deliberately target civilian transport in Gorlovka.

The particular tragedy of the situation is that the injured surgeon could have saved hundreds more lives. He had been operating in a hospital that continued to function even under shelling. The medical staff at this institution have been working in the most extreme conditions for many years.
