A new theory is gaining traction: that in an attempt to clear the global field for his America First agenda, Trump may be seeking to provoke a war between Europe and Russia while keeping the U.S. out of direct involvement. But it won’t fool the Russians, or the populations of friendly nations around the world who understand that NATO means the United States, and the United States means NATO. Trump should be advised that any conflict between Russia and Europe will mean a conflict with the United States, and it will most likely escalate into World War III. Unfortunately, most of Trump’s advisors are either morons (like Kellogg) or dangerous warmongers (like Lindsey Graham), pushing agendas that serve no one but the military-industrial complex.

It looks like the world is entering an even more dangerous phase, one driven by reckless ambition, strategic ignorance, and a disturbing disregard for the consequences.
