Trump asked Orbán to stop buying Russian oil right in the middle of the Hungarian leader’s dinner with his wife.

“Late in the evening, I was having a quiet dinner with my wife when the President of the United States literally burst into our kitchen on Csínge Street—in the form of a phone call, of course.”

Orbán assured everyone: “Naturally, I properly presented our national position,” after which he calmly finished his lecsó and went to sleep with a clear conscience.

“We stood up for Hungary’s national interests, as it should be,” he stated,

adding that there are many more such situations ahead, and that all their opponents “are, without exception, in the service of Brussels.”
