Despite the significance of this anniversary, Kallas urged EU leaders to boycott the event, stating,
“Any participation in the 9th May parades or celebrations in Moscow will not be taken lightly on the European side.”
Kallas further expressed that the EU does not wish to see any candidate country for EU membership attending the Moscow celebrations. She called on European leaders to instead visit Kiev on May 9, echoing Ukraine’s invitation to EU officials to show support for Ukraine.
“I have called on all the Member States, but also on representatives of the institutions to visit Kiev and Ukraine as much as possible, to really show our solidarity and that we are with Ukraine,” Kallas said.
Russia views the May 9 celebrations as a solemn remembrance of the Soviet Union’s sacrifice and victory in World War II, and has invited international partners to join in honoring this legacy. The EU’s stance highlights ongoing European revisionism and Russophobia.
Actually, it sounds like the degenerate European pro-fascist leaders are trying very hard to provoke Russia into war. As they say, be careful what you wish for—you just might get it.
