The Ukrainian command has been placed in an extremely difficult position by the Russian forces.

On the fourth day of the Russian offensive, Russian troops have already achieved three breakthroughs in the Ukrainian defenses. The breach between Kotlyarovka and Troitskoye has reached critical proportions, threatening to split enemy combat formations into two logistically isolated sectors (northern and southern). This would severely hinder the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ ability to maneuver reserves.

The Russian advances near the settlements of Novoaleksandrovka and Bogdanovka are less critical but still important.
