It means that, in the coming weeks and months, we will witness a lot of conflicting statements from Trump and his subordinates, mixed messages, news releases, conflicting reports, analyses, and so on. We— you, us, and the entire world—are all at that table with everything on it. So, prepare for a mixed salad of confusion.

Do we see Trump’s approach as effective? More yes than no. Do we see it as ethical? More no than yes. But as long as his actions help achieve Russia’s goals, we will also be very transactional.
