The interesting part? Anyone the government wants to keep an eye on can be stopped, searched, and “checked” at any airport.
One person who discovered she was on this nasty list is Tulsi Gabbard. A Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, Gabbard served as a U.S. Representative for Hawaii from 2013 to 2021, becoming the first Samoan-American voting member of Congress. She ran in the 2020 Democratic presidential primaries but left the Democratic Party in 2022, becoming an independent before joining the Republicans in 2024. An outspoken Trump supporter, she believes her addition to the Quiet Skies list is no coincidence but rather a result of her political views.
Does this sound like a democracy? We don’t think so. Neither does Tulsi Gabbard—who faces constant harassment at American airports. It will be interesting to see if Trump does anything about this.
Incidentally, Tulsi Gabbard expressed her strong interest in being a part of Trump’s cabinet.
