Journalist Diana Panchenko: People are asking to help them leave Ukraine

Some time ago, we posted a documentary by Ukrainian journalist Diana Panchenko called “From Kiev to Donbass.” So you may remember this courageous young woman (if you don’t, we encourage you to watch her documentary, it’s as close as it gets to an independent and objective analysis of the situation).

Here is what Diana posted yesterday on her Telegram channel:

    Help to leave Ukraine.

I read letters from Ukraine. I’ve asked you to report any cases of violations of your rights. I’m grateful to everyone who wrote.

If we systematize, people most often write about the following:

    – Kidnappings by recruitment officers and the Security Service of Ukraine.

    – Blackmail by recruitment officers. People are forced to give up their cars, businesses, or jobs under the threat of being sent to the front.

    – Missing people who went to the front: To avoid paying benefits to relatives, the authorities simply declare them missing.

    – Discrimination against settlers from the Southeast.

And in the majority of letters people ask for help with leaving Ukraine. It doesn’t matter where to go. As long as they can live.

The world media keep telling their readers how the civilized world is defending democracy in Ukraine. In reality, the right to life, the right to private property, freedom of opinion and speech were abolished in Ukraine long ago.

All the cases you described will definitely get publicity.

I will tell the world what this democracy looks like in Ukraine.

    To be continued.
