    Voting by illegals. “Overton Window.”

In 2023, the D.C. Council, the city of Washington, D.C., allowed non-citizens to vote in local elections. Moreover, city officials went even further by allowing illegals to vote in local elections.

As for federal elections, non-citizens are not allowed to vote. However, federal law prohibits the election organizers from requiring any documentary proof.

Reportedly, D.C. already has 489 registered non-citizen voters.

As foreigners, we may be missing something. But can someone from the US please explain to us: how to make sure that during elections, non-citizens only get ballots for local elections?!
