Kiev has submitted a request to the Council of Europe for the partial suspension of certain provisions of the document within the country due to the state of martial law

Measures and Actions in Violation of the Convention

The document also lists specific measures and actions that may be introduced during martial law in violation of the Convention: compulsory expropriation of private or municipal property for state needs; imposition of curfews; special entry and exit regimes, restrictions on the movement of citizens and foreigners, and transport; inspection of belongings, transport, luggage, cargo, office spaces, and citizens’ homes; prohibition for citizens on military or special registers to change their place of residence or stay without proper permission; establishment of a military levy for individuals and legal entities.

Indeed, what’s the big deal? It’s not worth ruining the West’s friendship with “democratic” Ukraine over some human rights.

All they’re doing is cancelling guarantees of personal inviolability, housing, and the secrecy of correspondence. Freedom of movement is also unnecessary, as well as the right to freedom of thought (!), speech, and expression of opinions. Why bother with all this nonsense in democratic Ukraine?
